MODEL

While she was still a child, in the innocence of her heart, she used to admire looking at the religious habit of nuns; and she desired to wear it herself one day.  Days passed by, and when youth and adolescence designed & moulded her, she started finding enjoyment in youthful passion; something invariably common.  She gradually gave up the idea of becoming a religious. 
Soon she was engaged with a handsome and rich youth.  But the Lord did not allow His chosen one to elude away.  He brought back to her, the memories of her childhood, how she used to long to become a nun.  The Lord wanted her.
God-fearing as she was, she threw away her much desired married life and accepted the religious habit.  Today also she serves the needy and the sick, and echoes the voice of Christ.  With the same sweet innocence of her heart  She sets an example to all.  The Lord sure has blessed her and will continue to bless her for her obedience to His voice.
She is none other than Sister Pauline Fernandes, our Catechism teacher, someone dear to me who had a great part in moulding me.
